Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy on Friday said unemployed youth are now getting jobs in industrial units at their native places, thanks to the landmark law enacted by the YSR Congress Party government in the state.

Inaugurating the shrimp processing unit renovated by Chennai-based Waterbase Limited at Ananthapuram village near TP Gudur in SPSR Nellore district, the Minister said that the state became the first state in the country to reserve 75% jobs for local people in industrial units, factories. Stating that the factory with 5,000 tonnes of shrimp processing capacity would go a long way in providing employment to the local people, he said that it is the responsibility of the industrial units to provide necessary training to the youth and induct them in their units.
