Andhra Pradesh woman beheads husband after quarrel, surrenders before police

The accused has been identified as Vasundhara, the wife of 53-year-old Bhashyam Ravi Chandran.

Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh):

A woman from Andhra Pradesh allegedly beheaded her husband with a sharp knife and later surrendered before the police on Thursday.

According to the information received by the police, the woman from Renigunta in Chittoor district of the state went to the police station with her husband’s head in her hand before surrendering.

The accused has been identified as Vasundhara, the wife of 53-year-old Bhashyam Ravi Chandran.

“The accused came to the police station after beheading her husband and informed the police. After verifying the facts, the police found the body at the family’s house. Police registered a case of murder and investigation is on, Office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Renigunta told ANI.

Police said that the woman would be produced in the court for further legal process. The police officer said that he committed this crime due to a family dispute.

According to Anju Yadav, zonal inspector of Renigunta police station, “Investigation of the matter is on.”
