Arjun Munda addresses the first meeting of the G20 Working Group on Global Financial Inclusion

Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda addressed the plenary session of the first meeting of the G20 Working Group on Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

He said India’s vision is to promote a universal sense of oneness and work together to shape a new paradigm of human-centred globalization where no one is left behind.

Addressing a gathering of 1,800 students from across the country, Mr Munda emphasized India’s vision The whole world is a family and added, “We strive for a human-centred globalization where no one is left behind.”

Earlier in the day, Shri Munda also addressed the G20 Working Group meeting in the presence of representatives of other G20 countries and senior officials from the Department of Economic Affairs, Union Ministry of Finance and the Reserve Bank of India.

He said India had “rich ancient sustainable traditions” to attract consumers and in turn markets to adopt eco-conscious practices.

He said that financial inclusion is the cornerstone of the Modi government’s development strategy, and that providing financial services to the last mile and poorest of the poor has been a key priority.

“Over the years we have destroyed our earth and environment. This had an adverse effect on our climate and ecology. There should be a global vision for ecological security, or else we will drown together,” Mr Munda also said.
