Referring to the previous seizure from Mukherjee’s flat, ED officials had said that valuables were coming out of “Ali Baba’s iron chest” from his flat. On Wednesday, they brought flat four large cash-counting machines from the State Bank of India to calculate fresh storage they described as “proceeds of crime.” By the time the news was written, the counting of votes had started for several hours.

Cans of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 denomination notes fell from the wardrobes and cupboards of the flat located on the eighth floor of the Club Town apartment after ED officials broke the main lock with the help of a keymaker in the presence of the housing association secretary. in the noon. Based on leads obtained from the interrogation of Chatterjee and Mukherjee, the ED teams worked at four different addresses on Wednesday, as they did last Friday.
Earlier in the day, ED officials also visited Mukherjee’s ancestral residence in Belgharia. His mother Minati Mukherjee initially came in the way of the ED officials, but was later given permission to conduct the raids.

During the raid, ED officials questioned former West Bengal Board of Primary Education Chairman and MLA Manik Bhattacharya for over 14 hours over four compact discs recovered from Bhattacharya’s Jadavpur residence. The disc included 269 names for recruitment in government primary schools. The officials matched the information in the disc with the recruitment list of TET, 2012 seized from the Nakatla residence of Minister Chatterjee.
