Bangalore tops rental intent for Q2: Report

The report said that in Bangalore, both manufacturing and services have shown positive intent for hiring.

According to a report, Bangalore has emerged as the top city in the second quarter, followed by Chennai and Mumbai, driven by growth in IT, e-commerce, FMCG and other allied sectors.

In the July-September quarter, 95 per cent of employers expressed an intent to hire more as compared to 91 per cent in the April-June quarter, according to the TeamLease Employment Outlook report.

From a pan-India perspective, 61 per cent of employers surveyed were willing to hire during this period, an increase of 7 per cent over the previous quarter.

The report said that in Bangalore, both manufacturing and services have shown positive intent for hiring.

In the manufacturing sector, the major industries were FMCG (48 per cent), health care and pharmaceuticals (43 per cent), manufacturing, engineering and infrastructure (38 per cent), power and energy (34 per cent) and agriculture and agrochemicals (30 per cent). St.), it turns out.

From a service sector perspective, major industries include information technology (97 percent), e-commerce and allied start-ups (85 percent), education services (70 percent), telecommunications (60 percent), retail (64 percent). and financial services (55 percent), it added.

The TeamLease Employment Outlook Report is a comprehensive hiring outlook report that captures the hiring sentiment of over 865 employers across 14 cities and 23 regions in India.

The report presents ‘Hire intent’ data for the second quarter, 2022-23 (July-September 2022), based on the survey and analysis conducted during April and May, 2022.

Meanwhile, the report showed that Chennai is the second top city in terms of hiring intent in the second quarter of this fiscal, with 87 per cent employers willing to hire as compared to 78 per cent during the April-June quarter.

Mumbai saw a 7 percentage point increase in rental intent during the second quarter from 76 percent in the previous quarter to 83 percent.

The report said that out of the 23 sectors that were reviewed, most of the areas displayed a positive intent to rent in Mumbai.

FMCG (59 percent), manufacturing, engineering and infrastructure (54 percent), power and energy (54 percent), health and pharmaceuticals (40 percent), agriculture and agrochemicals (32 percent) and FMCD (32 percent) manufacturing sectors are leading.

In the services sector, IT (81 per cent), financial services (80 per cent), telecom (76 per cent) and e-commerce and allied start-ups (69 per cent) were the most promising candidates for employment. , PTI SM
