Life came full circle for Hardik Pandya at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday as he went on to play a match-winning innings against Pakistan, the same opponents against whom he was injured during the 2018 Asia Cup and almost was forced to miss. Three years of cricket action.

“I was missing it all. I was stretched at the same spot against the same opponent in the 2018 Asia Cup. You feel a sense of accomplishment because the things that have happened in the past, today I have got the opportunity. The journey is beautiful. We get the fruits of our journey, but behind the scenes not many people get credit for those who walk with us,” Hardik said.
Team India will next face Hong Kong in Group A on Wednesday.
