Ranveer singh Recorded his statement with Mumbai Police on Monday in the nude photoshoot case. He was summoned in a case registered against him for posting his unclothed pictures on social media. An FIR was lodged against Singh at the Chembur police station last month on the basis of a complaint by an office-bearer of a non-governmental organization (NGO).
Later the police gave him a notice to join the investigation of the case. The official said the actor appeared before the investigating officer around 7 am on Monday and his statement was recorded. Singh left the police station around 9.30 am, the official said, adding that the actor would be called again if needed.
The complainant had claimed that the actor “hurt the sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty through his photographs”.
Based on the complaint, the police booked Singh under various Indian Penal Code sections such as 292 (sale of obscene books, etc.), 293 (sale of obscene objects to young people), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to act). FIR was registered under insult to a woman) and provisions of the Information Technology Act, an official had said earlier.

Pictures from Ranveer’s photoshoot for Paper magazine were posted online on July 21. In the pictures, the actor is seen wearing no clothes. In one of the images, he is seen lying on a rug naked to recreate the famous photograph of Burt Reynolds. In the other, Ranveer is posing on a Turkish rug.

As far as films are concerned, he will next be seen in the film Rohit ShettyNext directorial film ‘Circus’ with Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. The film is scheduled to release on the occasion of Christmas 2022.
The actor also has ‘Rocky and Rani’s love story’ Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. The film is all set to hit the theaters on February 11, 2023.
