Bigg Boss 15 fame Karan Kundrra talks about hosting ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’

Karan Kundrra needs no introduction. The popular actor is hosting several reality shows and has been a part of the entertainment industry for quite a long time. Now, he is again donning the hat of a host but this time he will be handling the kids on ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’ and not a youth show. When asked how excited he is about his new venture and how the journey has been so far, he told IANS, “I think my journey has been wonderful. But most importantly, my journey is on its own terms. But I have always done what I wanted to do. I never took any pressure.

“I did whatever I liked, or whatever I was excited about. When I was doing the daily soap, I was offered ‘Gumrah’ and many people asked why I was hosting a crime show at this age. Will do. But it was fantastic. The same thing happened with ‘Roadies’. So thankfully I have done what I enjoy doing.”

Karan has been a part of every medium be it television or digital or films and he never wants to limit himself to any one medium or new genre. He loves to experiment, so when he was offered ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’ he accepted it because of its new format.

He shares: “I have never done such a big budget, big show in the general entertainment category before. It’s a completely different concept than what I’ve done before. That’s when I got the idea that Colors’ I am interested in hosting a show. And look how a person who hardly knows how to dance is being asked to host a dance reality show. So, I think it is a challenge for me. And there was a new thing and I had to take it.”

On the challenges of being a host on kids reality shows, he says: “Look so far I’ve done youth-based reality shows like ‘Love School’ or ‘Roadies’ or now ‘Lock Up’ for example, but here there are kids And it is never easy to handle them. At one point if you see them on stage they are like professional dancers, but as soon as the performance ends, you will get the same baby. If you pick them up they are very excited But if they are crying over rejection it is not easy to pacify them.”

He adds: “They don’t pretend anything but you always get to see the real side of them and that’s the most wonderful aspect of them. It’s challenging to be in the same place I’m loving it.”

Karan continues: “My equation with these kids is the most important. I have to be their elder brother. They will go and perform in front of the judges and they will give them marks. But I have a major role. I have to be their journey in the show. part of and that’s the most important thing to me.”

Karan shares about his bond with judges Neetu Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Marzi Pestonji.

“I have fallen in love with Neetu ji. She is such a lovely person, very nice and down to earth. Nora pays great attention to dance moves and crafts. And likewise Marzi sir is just fabulous and he never makes me feel That I am far less than him. Whenever I tell him that I am new here, he is very supportive of me. As a judge he is absolutely right”.

He added: “With this show I am confident that we will focus more on a child’s development not only as a dancer but as a person which is most important.”

Dance Deewane Juniors will premiere on April 23 on Colors.
