Bochaha: Bihar: Election campaign ends in Bochaha tomorrow. Patna News – Times of India

Patna: CM Nitish Kumar and the Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly, Tejashwi Prasad YadavVote for NDA and RJD candidates, respectively, on the last day of campaigning for asked (SC) Assembly by-polls in Muzaffarpur district to be held on Tuesday.
The presence of Vikas Insaan Party (VIP) candidate has made it a triangular contest. VIP chief Mukesh Sahni has blown all cylinders in favor of his party’s candidate Geeta Kumari, daughter of former RJD leader Ramai, who won the seat a record eight times from different political parties but lost the 2020 election. The seat fell vacant after the death of VIP MLA Musafir Paswan. VIPs were part of the NDA at that time. Musafir’s son Amar Paswan is the RJD candidate against BJP’s Baby Kumari. A total of 13 candidates are in the fray, including Congress’s Tarun Choudhary and AIMIM’s Rinki Devi.
Baby had won the Bochaha seat in the 2015 assembly elections as an independent candidate, but later joined the BJP in the hopes of getting the party’s symbol in the 2020 elections. In 2020, he was denied the BJP’s election symbol, as the seat went to the VIP account.
Addressing an election rally, Nitish not only enumerated the work done by his successive governments in the last 16 years but also urged voters, especially women, to cast their votes in favor of the NDA’s female candidate. He recalled how his government empowered women by providing 50% reservation in Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies as well as 35% reservation in state government jobs.
He also referred to his government’s steps to control the cases of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in Muzaffarpur district and assured the people of Bochaha that his government was still sensitive to AES cases. Drawing attention to the unprecedented heat this year, Nitish asked the residents of Bochaha to be vigilant about AES and not let children sleep without food.
Former CM and HAM(S) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi also sought votes for NDA candidate and said that no CM can harm Nitish as long as his party is not present and he is the head of HAM(S). Huh.
Taking a dig at RJD leader Majestic Prasad Yadav, Manjhi said that some people were dreaming of forming a new government in Bihar before the Tarapur and Kusheshwar Asthan assembly bypoll results last year. “But their dreams were shattered as the JD(U) won both the seats. Similarly, the NDA candidate will win the Bochaha seat,” Manjhi said amid thunderous applause from the audience.
Addressing an election rally at Sarsuddin High School, Tejashwi targeted the NDA government over inflation and also raised the issue of crime and corruption in the state. He said, “How will a poor man run his house? How can one survive? The same mehendi was a dayan (witch) for these NDA people and now it has become their mehbooba (beloved).”
Tejashwi also raised the issue of Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case and accused the ruling government of protecting the culprits. He also tried to garner sympathy votes for his candidate Amar in the name of his late father.
