Bihar Board 12th Result 2022 Declared, Total 80.15% Pass; Check toppers, all stream-wise pass percentage and rank – Times of India

Patna: The overall pass percentage in the Bihar School Examination Board’s Class XII Intermediate examination conducted for all subjects (Science, Commerce and Arts) has increased slightly as 80.15% of the students who passed this year stood at 80.15%. Last year the pass percentage was 78.04 per cent.

Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary released the result on Wednesday at the Auditorium, Education Department, Vikas Bhawan, Patna. Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Sanjay Kumar and Board Chairman Anand Kishor were also present on the occasion.
Around 13,25,749 students, including 6,41,829 girls and 6,83,920 boys, had appeared for the examination from February 1 to February 14 at 1,471 examination centers across the state, of which 10,62,557 were successful. Practical examination of class XII will be held from January 10 to January 20

A total of 4,52,171 students passed in first division, 5,10,831 in second division and 99,550 in third division, while 20,190 failed in the examination. Altogether 464 examinees were expelled for using unfair means, while 57 persons were arrested as candidates.

Sangam Raj has topped with 96.40 per cent marks. The second position was bagged by Ankit Kumar Gupta, who scored 94.60 per cent. Saurav Kumar has secured the third position with 94.40 per cent marks.

Bihar Board is the first board in the country which has declared the result within 28 days after the end of the last paper. This is the fourth consecutive year that the board has released the result in such a short span of time. Last year the result was declared on March 26.

Kishor said that the Bihar Board has created a new record by declaring the result in just 10 days from the date of commencement of evaluation of answer copies. “Over 70 lakh bar-coded copies were evaluated by teachers from February 26 to March 8. To ease the burden on the students amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the board has also increased the number of questions giving more choices. For the students,” he said.
