Budh Pradosh fast auspicious time
According to Hindu religious beliefs and Puranas, Pradosh Vrat is observed on Trayodashi Tithi. According to the Panchang, the beginning of Trayodashi Tithi has started from 10 pm on January 3 and this date will end on January 4 at 11.50 pm. In such a situation, according to the belief of Uday Tithi, Budh Pradosh Vrat is being observed on January 4, 2023 i.e. today. Therefore, the auspicious time for the worship of Budh Pradosh Vrat is from 5.37 pm to 8.21 pm. Apart from this, according to the Panchang, on this day Abhijeet Muhurta is from 12.13 to 12.57 in the afternoon. Along with this, Swarthasiddhi Yoga is there throughout the day.
Pradosh fast worship method
On the day of Pradosh Vrat, get up early in the morning in Brahma Muhurta and take bath and first of all offer water to Surya Narayan.
After offering water to the Sun God, worship Lord Shiva with the worship material- Akshat, Belpatra, Duh-Deep, Gangajal etc.
Eating food during Pradosh Vrat is against the Vrat rules, so if it is very important during Vrat, then you can eat fruits. Otherwise worship Lord Shiva.
Taking the resolution of Pradosh Vrat, stay in fast for the whole day and after bathing again in the eve period or getting purified with the water of the Ganges, worship Lord Shiva again in the Pradosh period.
On the day of Pradosh Vrat, it would be good if Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva is done for the stubbornness and ambition of the family.
Keep chanting Om Namah Shivay, the mantra of Lord Shiva during the worship of Pradosh Vrat. During this, sattvic feelings. Along with this, during this time, the mind says its wish to Shiva.
After the completion of Pradosh Vrat-worship, perform aarti of Shiva and then distribute Prasad among all the devotees.
What not to do during Pradosh Vrat
Pradosh Vrat is considered very effective, so do not wear black clothes during the fast.
Using Shivling on the day of Pradosh Vrat is considered inauspicious.
It will be better if you avoid insulting anyone on the day of Budh Pradosh Vrat.
Turmeric is not applied on Shivling on this day.
One should refrain from consuming tamasic food on the day of Pradosh Vrat.
