“Captain Cool”: Anand Mahindra Shares Video Of “World’s Best Bolero Driver”

Industrialist Anand Mahindra, who is known for his witty tweets, today shared a video of the “world’s best Bolero driver”. The 36-second clip shared by Mr Mahindra shows an elephant charging the Bolero.

The driver calmly reverses the vehicle even when the elephant moves towards the vehicle. After a while the elephant gives up the chase. During the chase, the elephant can be heard trumpeting loudly.

The incident happened last week in Karnataka’s Kabini Forest Reserve, Mr Mahindra said.

The industrialist lauded the driver for keeping him cool and ensuring the safety of the passengers.

Anand Mahindra said in a tweet, “This was apparently last Thursday at Kabini Reserve. I hereby anoint the man at the wheel as the best Bolero driver in the world and also give him the nickname of Captain Cool “

The tweet has gone viral and has garnered over 3,700 likes so far.

Several internet users responded to the tweet, applauding the driver’s restraint.

One user said, “He showed how to stay calm when situations get out of your hands. He gave an example of how it is not that hard to manage and control all the senses in adversity.”

Another wrote, “Dangerous encounter. Good luck to escape. The driver’s calm and quick action saved him from going in reverse.”

A day after devotees participated in the immersion ceremony of Ganesh idols, he shared the video on Twitter with the text, “I feel Bappa saying goodbye to us with his trunk… and we say: Ganpati Bappa Morya, bringer of Pudchya Varsha Yes! See you next year.”
