Los Angeles: West Indies great batting Shivnarayan Chanderpaul The country’s cricket board said on Sunday that she has been appointed the head coach of the United States’ senior women’s and under-19 teams for a period of 18 months.

“USA Cricket is pleased to announce that Shivnarine Chanderpaul has been appointed as the head coach of the national women’s and under-19 teams following the completion of the advertised recruitment process.” usa cricket said in a release.

“Chandrapaul will start the role immediately as the U-19 women’s team leaves for the Caribbean on Sunday Cricket West Indies The Under-19 Rising Stars T20 Championship will be held in Trinidad and Tobago from July 5 to 13.
Chanderpaul has signed a one-and-a-half year contract till the end of 2023.
Chanderpaul on his part said, “I am excited to be appointed as the head coach of USA National Women’s Team and Women’s Under 19 team.
“The women’s sport is something I’m a huge supporter of and I’ve followed the progress of the USA women’s national team with a keen interest.
“I have enjoyed being involved in American cricket over the years as a resident of Orlando, so being given this opportunity to be the head coach for USA Cricket is incredible,” said the old-fashioned left-hander.
