CHANDIGARH COVID GUIDELINES: Chandigarh Administration has decided to increase the number of guests for social functions from 200 to 300 or to 50% of the capacity of Banquet Halls/Hotels. However, guests are mandatorily required to receive at least one dose of the COVID vaccine or to obtain a negative RT-PCR report 72 hours prior to the event.

“For social functions like weddings/business events/exhibition stalls/entertainment rides/shows, the number of guests to be increased from 200 to 300 or 50% of the banquet hall/hotel capacity, whichever is less, subject to the condition that all adult guests and staff It states that hotels/dinings must receive at least one dose of the vaccine or have a negative RT-PCR report within 72 hours.

This order will come into force with immediate effect and will remain in force till further orders. “Any contravention of this order shall invite action under sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and section 188 of the Indian Penal Code along with other applicable laws,” the order said.
