Chhath: PMC officials on rise in Ganga water level. Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Preparations for Chhath festival are in full swing in the city. Patna Municipal Corporation ,PMC) has taken up the work of repair, renovation and cleaning of various Ganga Ghats in a mission mode.
Patna Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashari Inspected many ghats including on Friday Kali GhatPatna College Ghat and Krishna Ghat and instructed PMC officials to make necessary preparations in view of the rising water level in Ganga. He also asked the officials concerned to keep a close watch on the ongoing works of cleaning and painting of the Ghats and removal of mud and soil from the Ghats. “Ensure that all these works are completed before the start of the festival,” he told the officials.
Officers and employees of PMC with Municipal Commissioner as well as Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL,
PSCL is also installing cameras at the Ghats for continuous monitoring of all activities during Chhath.
Parashar had on Thursday visited various ghats of the city on foot and asked the officials concerned to ensure proper cleaning of the ghats and construction of link roads between the ghats and the main road.
