Chicago: 2 killed, 4 injured in shooting at Indiana nightclub, say police

Two people were killed and four others were injured in a shooting at an Indiana nightclub in the early hours of Sunday.

Responding to reports of a shooting around 2 a.m. in Gary, southeast of Chicago, officials said they found two men who had been shot and were not responding. Police said a 34-year-old man was near the entrance of a nightclub in Plyo and a 26-year-old woman was found inside. Both were declared brought dead after being taken to a local hospital.

Police said four other people were also injured, with one in a critical condition.

Officials did not release the names of the victims or what might have been the motive behind the shooting. He said that due to the large number of people evacuated and the large number of victims, many law enforcement agencies responded.
