China’s top diplomat Wang Yi told his US counterpart Antony Blinken on Saturday that the US response to a Chinese balloon flying over their territory has damaged their countries’ ties, Xinhua news agency reported.
In their meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Wang “clarified China’s serious position on the so-called airplane incident,” and “urged the US side to change course, admit and repair the damage it caused.” The use of excessive force has been detrimental to China-US relations,” Xinhua reported.
