Tamil Nadu chief minister, who is in Japan, took to microblogging site Twitter to praise the Bullet Train in Japan. CM Stalin is on an official trip to Japan, where he travelled by the bullet train from Osaka to capital city Tokyo, a distance of 500 kms in less than two hours.
The Shinkansen colloquially known in English as the bullet train, is a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan.
CM Stalin also mentioned that a facility like the bullet train India would also enhance transport facility and benefit Indian citizen as well.
“Traveling from Osaka to Tokyo on #BulletTrain; will cover a distance of about 500 km in less than two and a half hours,” CM Stalin tweeted along with some images from the journey.
“A railway service equivalent to #BulletTrain in design but also in speed and quality should be introduced in our India; Poor – simple – middle class people will benefit and their journeys will be easier! #FutureIndia” the CM added.

The Tamil Nadu CM had earlier embarked on a two-nation official trip of Singapore and Japan to attract more investments to Tamil Nadu.
On Saturday, Chief Minister M K Stalin, visited the Komatsu production facility in Osaka, Japan, and urged the company’s top officials to expand its plant in Tamil Nadu.
The chief minister visited the 16th-century Osaka Castle an an invite from Osaka Province Vice Governor Nobuhiko Yamaguchi. The world-famous castle played a major role in unifying Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama period.
“Japan is all about innovation and invention! I visited the Osaka factory of a century-old #Komatsu company that makes tools that make work easier and safer in labour-intensive industries like construction and building,” the chief minister said in a tweet.
Posting a video of his visit to the plant, he said, “Already in 2007, as a minister I opened a factory of #Komatsu in Tamil Nadu, and with the same feeling I called upon the company to invest more in Tamil Nadu and invited it for #GIM2024.”
