Cruise drugs case: Bombay High Court grants bail to Aryan Khan, two others

Justice NW Sambre began hearing on the bail application on Tuesday.

A single bench of Justice NW Sambre also granted bail to his co-accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

“All three pleas are allowed. I will pass detailed orders by tomorrow evening,” Justice Sambre said.

Aryan Khan’s advocates then sought permission to deposit cash bail, which was refused by the court and said bail was to be granted.

“I could have ordered tomorrow as well. But I gave it today,” Justice Sambre said.

Justice NW Sambre began hearing on the bail application on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Aryan Khan’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi, co-accused Arbaaz Merchant’s lawyer Amit Desai and Munmun Dhamecha’s counsel Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh completed their arguments.

After the hearing that lasted more than two hours, Justice Sambre said he would hear Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, who is representing the case. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), on Thursday.

“On Thursday we will try to put an end to it,” the judge said.

Aryan Khan (23), Merchant and Dhamecha along with others were arrested on 3 October following a raid by the NCB on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast and the alleged seizure of drugs.

They approached the High Court last week His bail plea was rejected after a special court for NDPS Act cases.
