CUET 2022: Know the marking scheme for the entrance exam for DU, Jamia, JNU and other top colleges

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct Common University Entrance Test (CUET.)) from mid-July 2022. It is being conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in all central universities in the participating institutes for the academic session 2022-2023. It provides a single window to the students seeking admission in any central university across the country.

CUET UG 2022 will be held on 15th July, 16th, 19th, 20th and 4th August, 8th and 10th August. It will be conducted at centers in 554 cities. India and in 13 cities outside India. NTA has not yet released the admit card for CUET UG 2022. Once released, cCandidates will be able to download their admit card From the official websites – cuet.samarth.ac.in and nta.ac.in.

CUET 2022: Marking Scheme

The entrance test will be conducted online in computer based format and will consist of multiple choice questions. Candidates have to choose one correct option or the most appropriate answer from the given alternatives. As per the marking scheme, a candidate will be awarded five marks for answering a question correctly, while marking the wrong option will attract a penalty of one mark. If a question is left unanswered or marked for review, no marks will be awarded to the candidate.

If more than one option is found by NTA to be correct then five marks will be awarded to only those candidates who have marked any one of the two correct options. When all the options for a question are found to be correct, five marks will be awarded to the candidates who have attempted that question.

Meanwhile, when none of the options for a question is correct or when a question is found to be incorrect or a question is omitted, five marks will be awarded to all the candidates attempting the question, according to the official notice.

A total of 86 universities are participating in this admission process through CUET 2022. among these, 43 are central universities, 13 are state universities, 12 are deemed universities and 18 are private universities. Some of the Varieties that accept CUET 2022 Score are Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Hamdard, TISS, BHU, Allahabad University, among others.
