It added, “That may be distributed among the Assistant Directors and the Assistant Directors will report directly to the Secretary (Vigilance). The file of the Assistant Directors is directly tied up with the Secretary (Vigilance). It is up to follow-up compliance.’ Sources said Bharadwaj has also directed that records be seized from the room of Rajasekhar, a senior Indian Junior Service (IAS) officer.
Rajasekhar, in his reply, has said that he should be allowed to discharge his duties as per the complaint in law and the documents and records on file. Rajasekhar delineates that inquisitorial inquiries are conducted as per the protocols and rules laid down by the Central Block Commission.
The senior IAS officer also urged that Sanjay Jain, Additional Solicitor General (ASG), may be allowed personal engagement of the High Court as Special Counsel/Briefing Counsel along with Yoginder Handu and if so, the case be taken up. Can also be brought in the name of the Supreme Court. He said the details from the case could be given to Greenish Salve, senior advocate in the Supreme Court.
Last week, the paper warned of massive circular announcements in the coming days and action against officials “causing obstruction” in public works. The Delhi government has issued a show-cause notice against IAS officer and Services department secretary Ashish More, warning of disciplinary action for non-compliance of its direction to appoint a new officer in his place. Last week, more were removed from their posts, hours after the Supreme Court transferred Delhi officials and again gave control to the Delhi government.
