Delhi University will announce the second round of seat allotment list for admission to undergraduate programs on Sunday, university officials said.

The university said that the seats allotted to candidates in the second round will remain open for two days till November 1.

59,100 candidates took admission in the first round of seat allotment of Delhi University. After the conclusion of the first round of allotment, the university displayed the vacant seats for the second round.

The candidates were given two days to opt for the upgrade and re-arrange their preferences. About 60 per cent of them have opted to upgrade to their higher ‘program + college combination’ preference, a university official said on Thursday.

More than 25 per cent of the 59,100 candidates have frozen their seats, he said, adding, “Based on the availability of seats, the university will declare the CSAS Round-II on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 05:00 PM. The second round For allotment, candidates should accept the allotted seat from 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022 to 04:59 p.m. on Tuesday, November 01,” said a senior university official.

In the first round, the university allotted 80,164 seats in various categories.

The number of seats in DU’s colleges is 70,000, but the university has allocated additional seats in unreserved (OBC-NCL and EWS) and reserved (SC, ST and PWBD) categories, taking the number to 80,164. More than 72,800 candidates out of 80,164 accepted the colleges and courses allotted to them.

The university had announced that in the first round of seat allotment, each course in each college would reserve 20 per cent additional seats for candidates from unreserved categories – OBC-NCL and EWS – and 30 per cent in SC, ST and PWBD as well. Categories.

In Delhi University, admission to 79 undergraduate programs across 67 colleges, departments and centers is being done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for the first time.

Till last year, admission was done through merit list based on class 12 marks, with the cut-off skyrocketing. The university used to announce seven cut-off lists every year.
