The first look at Disney’s upcoming live-action retelling of “Snow White” starring Rachel Ziegler and Gal Gadot came out Friday at D23 Expo.

The first glimpses of Ziegler as Snow White, Disney’s first princess, and Gadot’s Evil Queen, the iconic villain, were shared in the film’s 30-second teaser.

Ziegler and Gadot were present in the teaser reveal.

“It was very different from anything I’ve done before. I’m used to playing the other end where the heart should be,” Gadot, known for essaying dc superhero wonder womanTold.

The new film is based on 1937’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” Disney’s first feature film and the world’s first full-length animated film.

The story revolves around Ziegler’s Snow White, a beautiful young princess who is orphaned at an early age, living with her cruel stepmother, the Queen (Gadot).

As a Disney fan, Ziegler said playing Snow White was a “dream come true”. The actor made his film debut in the 2021 adaptation of the musical drama “Western Story”for which he won Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion picture comedy or musical.

“Snow White” features Andrew Burnup as Snow White’s love interest and Martin Kleba as Grumpy, one of the Seven Dwarfs.

Mark Webb, known for the films “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “500 Days of Summer”, directed the film.

The screenplay is written by playwright Erin Cressida Wilson and Lady Bird director Greta Gerwig.

Songwriters Benz Pasek and Justin Paul have written new songs for the remake.
