Do these cardio exercises at home for a fit body instead of running

Fitness is essential for a healthy lifestyle, but it does not mean that you blindly follow all the trends going on on the internet. Without understanding your body properly, following a workout routine can prove to be dangerous. While some people enjoy running, some people like to go to the gym and lift weights. There are many health benefits of running early in the morning but if you are a little lazy to get up for it or do not have the stamina to run for long distances, then this is not the end of your health regime. Fitness trainer Kayla Itsines shared her dislike of running in her recent Instagram post.

She started her post by saying that she doesn’t run because it’s not relaxing for her. Rather, Kayla likes to walk at a fast pace. She quipped in the caption, “I can’t get over how people love to run, but then most people probably don’t understand how fun I find burpees.”

Kayla further mentioned that for whatever reason, from the lockdown to inclement weather, if people are not able to get out to run, they can resort to alternate cardio sessions. Sharing several non-equipment cardio exercises, Kayla said that the routine can be done at home using body weight. Exercises included criss crosses, high knees, pop squats and twists, mountain climbers, half burpees and ab bikes. In the video, Kayla, dressed in her gym wear, was seen doing all the exercises.

The fitness trainer asked his audience to perform each exercise on 3 laps for 30 seconds. “And then maybe you’ll see me at the end, where I’m obviously feeling great,” she concluded.

Cardio exercise has many health benefits, from providing movement in the joints to aiding in weight loss, mobility. It improves lung capacity, increases energy, induces sleep and strengthens the heart. A 30-minute cardio session in the morning can keep you fresh throughout the day.
