New Delhi Dr Mansukh Mandaviya said drone technology is the future after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s biggest drone festival – India Drone Festival 2022, in New Delhi on Friday.
PM Modi interacted with farmer drone pilots, witnessed open drone demonstrations and interacted with startups at the Drone Exhibition Centre.
“Had an opportunity to visit #BharatDroneMahotsav started by PM @NarendraModiji today. There, nano urea, fertilizer spraying drones were detected. Drones were also seen in the exhibition implementing the best ideas in the health sector,” tweeted Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya.
“Tried something new and amazing today! The future is drone technology! #BharatDrone Festival. Shocked by this patient carrying a drone! #BharatDroneMahotsav,” said Dr. Mandaviya.
“Drone technology is going to play a major role in empowering farmers and modernizing their lives as the advent of roads, electricity, optical fiber and digital technology in villages. Yet agriculture is being done in the old fashioned way, leading to distress, low productivity and wastage. Measures taken to help the agriculture sector have ensured that technology is no longer intimidating for farmers. Drones are an effective tool to tackle all these issues. has emerged,” said the Prime Minister during the event.
“Promoting drone technology is another way to further our commitment to good governance and making life easier. We have a smart tool in the form of drones which is going to become a part of the lives of common people,” he said.
