Police probing the MDMA drug racket, which has links to Karnataka, Delhi and Telangana, have picked up Shashi, who was allegedly smuggling MDMA in Vijayawada.

“Vigilance will be increased at cargo service counters to check illegal parcels. Staff posted at counters have been instructed to take ID proof from customers while booking parcels.
“APSRTC is planning CCTV surveillance to check transportation of illegal and banned products through cargo services of the corporation,” he added.
