ED’s nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channiin a money laundering case involving alleged illegal sand mining in the border state, officials said on February 4.
He said Mr. Honey was arrested late at night under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Mr. Honey is the son of Mr. Channi’s sister-in-law. on 18 january the agency raided Claimed to have seized his premises and around 8 crore cash.
Polling in Punjab is to be held on February 20.
