Exports grew 16.78% in June to $37.94 billion; Trade deficit record $25.63 billion – Times of India

New Delhi: Of India export of goods Preliminary data from the government released on Monday showed a year-on-year increase of 16.78 percent to $37.94 billion in June, while the trade deficit widened to a record $25.63 billion.
Data showed imports rose 51 percent to $63.58 billion in June.
The trade deficit stood at $9.61 billion in June 2021.
Cumulative exports grew by about 22.22 per cent to $116.77 billion in April-June 2022-23, while imports during the period grew by 47.31 per cent to $187.02 billion.
The trade deficit widened to $70.25 billion during the first three months of the current fiscal, from $31.42 billion in the year-ago period.
