Mazepin believes his father will be successful in running an F1 team

Nikita Mazepin has suggested that if his father Dmitry Mazepin buys an F1 team, it will be as successful as all other businesses he has been a part of. Dimitri Mazepin’s team is the main sponsor of the Uralkali Haas F1 team for which his son Nikita drives.
“It will be an interesting choice for him. He made gold from what he started. But I am very loyal to Haas. So if he buys a team it will be exciting to see how they duel, and hopefully He’ll beat him,” said the young Russian. He indicated that if he were to buy a team, it would not be the Haas F1 team.
Mazepin was open to the idea of competing against his father’s team if that was an event in the future. “I won’t rule it out. I’m currently part of a team that is ranked 10 out of 10 in the Constructors’ Championship. But I said I’m loyal. I want success with Haas,” he said.

He also talked about the notion that he was a salary driver because of his father’s company investing in the team. He said the investment made sense as he was the only Russian driver in the sport. “I have my place because I am a racing driver and the team sees me as an asset. The reason for the sponsorship is that the company sees Formula 1 as a new business opportunity. I am the only Russian driver and of course, A Russian company will always want to invest in a team that has a fellow countryman.”

Mazepin is still studying with his F1 duties. He is also scheduled to complete military training in the summer of 2022. From a long-term perspective, it looks like the young man is destined to join his father’s company in an executive role. “Despite motorsport, my father never let me finish school. I am currently the only driver who is still studying in the side. I have completed my bachelor’s degree, now I am going to start my masters My life will really start only after Formula 1. I am sure one day you will see me lead a great company.”
