Ecuador Will play after 2022 world cup fifa World football’s governing body said on Friday it rejected Chile’s claims that they had fielded an ineligible player in the qualifiers.

“The current decision is subject to appeal before the FIFA Appeals Committee.”
Ecuador scored 14 of their 26 points in matches played by Castillo. Had they lost points for Castillo’s game, they would have missed out on a place in Qatar.
Ecuador is one of four South American teams that have already qualified for the World Cup final later this year along with Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Fifth-placed Peru will face the playoffs next week.
“Today the game has been judged,” FEF President francisco agas wrote on Twitter. “We always knew we were on the right side, let’s go to Ecuador!”

Egas also attached FIFA’s letter stating that the Disciplinary Committee had dismissed the allegations and had closed the disciplinary process initiated against the FEF.
