Fun Fact: Sonam Kapoor shares interesting history of ‘Rooh Afza’

What comes to your mind when we say ‘rooh afza’? The first answer would of course be ‘a refreshing drink’. It is basically a rosehip concentrate which we use extensively to prepare a variety of sweets. But the popularity has gone to such an extent that today rosehip sherbet has become synonymous with ‘rooh afza’ (like the instant noodles equivalent of ‘maggie’). Actually, you will find at least one bottle of this red colored syrup in every Indian pantry. We use it to make sherbet, rose milk, gulab kheer, falooda kulfi and much more. While its versatility is undeniable, what adds to its popularity is its nostalgia feel. ‘Rooh Afza’ is about our childhood memories. Correct? The same seems to be true for Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. And we got to see it on his Instagram story.

One of the most active celebrities on Instagram, Sonam recently shared a video which has ‘some interesting facts about her’.Rooh Afza, And we just loved it! We suggest you watch too.

Actually, it was interesting to know that this drink was first created with the intention of healing people. “Majeed was intended to cure ailments like heat stroke, dehydration and diarrhoea, making it a popular drink during the scorching heat of the subcontinent,” the video said.

He is not everything. Rooh Afza was also the first sherbet presented in a beautifully printed cover of butter-paper! Interesting; Correct?
