Gadkari inaugurates and lays foundation stone of 46 National Highway projects

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 46 National Highway projects on Monday with the investment of 19,930 crore in Karnataka.

addressing the gathering in belgavik He said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the continued progress and prosperity of Karnataka by creating avenues for prosperity in the state through a network of world class national highways.

He said National Highway Projects Total length with an investment of 238 KM 3,972 crore to improve interstate road connectivity from Karnataka to Maharashtra and Goa.

The minister said that these projects will reduce traffic jams and fuel consumption, speed up traffic and improve port connectivity in the region.

Inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 26 National Highway projects at Hubli, Gadkari said that the total length of the National Highway projects is 925 kms, with investment Will boost intra-state connectivity by enabling seamless, safe and fast travel from 12,795 crore villages to district headquarters to Bengaluru. He said that they will provide connectivity to the heritage monuments in Karnataka which will boost the tourism sector and generate sustainable employment opportunities in the state.

Speaking at the Inauguration and Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of 15 National Highway Projects 3,163 crore in Mangaluru The Minister said that the highways built will have a transformative impact on the socio-economic prosperity of the people in Karnataka.

Gadkari said that the projects with a total length of 165 km will boost inter-state connectivity by ensuring seamless travel from Karnataka to Goa as well as ensuring safety of passengers on ghat roads.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Bommai, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and other senior MPs and MLAs were also present on the occasion.
