Gold fell by Rs 71; Silver jumps Rs 263

According to HDFC Securities, gold on Monday fell by Rs 71 to Rs 46,503 per 10 grams in the national capital in line with weak global precious metal prices. In the previous trade, this precious metal had closed at Rs 46,574 per 10 grams.

In contrast, silver rose by Rs 263 to Rs 64,168 per kg from Rs 63,905 per kg in the previous trade.

In the international market, gold was trading flat at $ 1,826 an ounce and silver at $ 24.78 an ounce.

According to Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities), HDFC Securities, “Gold prices traded at two-month high on Monday due to dollar recovery.”
