Google Doodle remembers video game creator Gerald ‘Jerry’ Lawson today

Google Doodle, December 1: Google is celebrating Gerald ‘Jerry’ Lawson’s 82nd birthday today i.e. on 1 December. Lawson was a video game producer. He is recognized for creating the world’s first video game console, which led to the modern video games the world now enjoys.

Thus, Google has made a beautiful attempt to remember the legacy of Jerry Lawson and thus unveiled a creative illustration and animation on its Google Doodle on Thursday, December 1.

Step by step guide to play the game

  1. select on play button
  2. You will see green blocks and below these blocks there is a slab.
  3. There is a blue ball that moves diagonally up and down to break these blocks.
  4. When the ball comes down after breaking the blocks, move the slab in such a way that the ball hits the slab.
  5. Press the arrow keys to move the slab
  6. Keep moving the slabs until the ball breaks all the blocks.
  7. If the ball does not touch the slab, you lose the game.
  8. Once all the blocks are broken, you win the game.

Who Was Gerald ‘Jerry’ Lawson?

Gerald ‘Jerry’ Lawson was an American electrical engineer and is popularly known for giving us the video games we have been enjoying for years. He was born in Brooklyn on December 1, 1940, and started playing with electronics at an early age.

Lawson initially created a fun game called Demolition Derby, a coin-operated arcade game. He later designed a gaming console, the joystick and pause button for the first time on a video game controller.
