Music’s biggest night, the Grammy Awards 2022 is all set to take place on April 3 (April 4 in India). The awards venue moved to the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas for the first time with multiple performers who could spend epic nights, including Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and John Battist. In January the awards were moved from Los Angeles due to rising COVID-19 cases and the Omron edition. Last year, the Grammys hosted a concert in which parts of the show were mixed with pre-taped performances with musical performers in an intimate personal setting outside. This time around, the Grammys are going back to normal.

Here we bring you everything about the upcoming awards night, from the nominees and cast list to who is expected to win the major categories and much more.

Nominees for Grammy 2022

Nominees include some of today’s most innovative artists, including Kanye West, Billie Eilish, John Battist, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Silk Sonic and many more.

The multitalented John Batiste enters the Grammys as a major nominee with 11 in a variety of genres including R&B, jazz, American Roots music, classical and music videos. Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and HER are tied for the second most nominations with eight nominations each.

The Grammys will feature their expanded 10 nominees in three major genres—record, album, and song of the year. Increasing categories will strengthen the competition but it can be very difficult to pick a winner.

For Album of the Year, the Recording Academy expanded the category’s eligibility to any particular artist, producer, songwriter, and engineer—even if the music producer co-wrote a song on the project. This means that there can be a large number of winners on the platform, depending on who wins.
