Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Thursday asked the Mumbai civic body to accept his resignation. rutuja hangingcandidates ofShiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray‘ Party for the upcoming Andheri East assembly by-election.

The bench directed the competent officer of BMC to accept the resignation by 11 am on Friday and issue appropriate letter.
This will clear the way for Latte to file his nomination for Friday’s bypoll.
“He (Hangke) is your (BMC) employee. You should help him,” the court said.
Earlier in the day, Hange’s lawyer Vishwajit Sawanti He had told the court that he was a clerk and had no dues or inquiries.
October 14 is the last date for filing nomination papers for the by-elections to be held on November 3. The by-election had to be held due to the death of Latte’s husband and sitting MLA Ramesh Latte.
The Uddhav Thackeray faction on Wednesday alleged that a group led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was pressurizing Rutuja Latte to contest the election on his ticket. The Thackeray faction also accused the Mumbai civic body of political pressure for delaying his resignation as an employee to stall his candidature for the bypolls. However, BMC commissioner IS Chahal denied any political pressure.
