Virat Kohli, former India captain and South Africa limited overs skipper Temba Bavuma displayed his aggressive and competitive nature on the field when Kohli’s strong throw went right behind Bavuma, which was not appreciated by the Proteas batsman. During the first ODI on Wednesday, It was during the 36th over of South Africa’s batting when Bavuma tried to stop a poor delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal in the cover area and Kohli was run out. Kohli, in his element, did not appreciate Bavuma’s displeasure and seemed agitated by the batsman’s reaction.

Bavuma, batting on 78 at the time, did not lose his focus and completed a scintillating century to take South Africa to a challenging total of 296 for the loss of four wickets in 50 overs.
Apart from Bavuma, Rassi van der Dussen also put up a stellar performance during his masterclass of 129 not out.
In reply, India put up a valiant fight at the start and were ready to overhaul the target with proceedings dominated by Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan in the run-chase.
However, India lost their way in the later stage of the game and could manage only 265 runs for the loss of eight wickets, eventually losing the match by 31 runs.
