Hero MotocorpThe world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters has handed over 13 advanced life saving ambulances to the Uttarakhand government. As part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform, “Hero WeCare”, the initiative aims to help strengthen healthcare infrastructure across Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off an ambulance equipped with state-of-the-art facilities at his residence in Dehradun. As part of its CSR programme, Hero MotoCorp is spearheading the COVID-19 relief efforts in several states.

“The pandemic has increased the need for healthcare and we are grateful to Hero MotoCorp for their significant contribution in supporting and strengthening the medical infrastructure in the state. These efforts are urgently needed to support frontline workers and communities most affected by COVID-19. We are helping in providing relief. -19. We appeal to other corporates across the country to come together and extend their support to the governments to tide over this unprecedented crisis,” said Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami .

Hero MotoCorp is undertaking various COVID-19 relief efforts in Uttarakhand. The company donated eight specially designed first responder vehicles, and in Haridwar, the company partnered with Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram to strengthen its healthcare system with a 122-bed COVID-19 hospital. The company has also started a project under which 10,000 doses of vaccines will be given to people in Haridwar in a phased manner. As part of another similar immunization drive, Hero MotoCorp is partnering with the local health department to facilitate vaccination for specially-abled people in the district.
