Hero Vida V1 electric scooter launched in India at Rs 1.45 lakh: Price, range, features – Times of India

Hero MotoCorp today launched its first electric scooter, the VIDA V1, at the Center for Innovation and Technology in Jaipur, with a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). With the Vida V1, Hero MotoCorp today launched the Vida Platform and Vida Services.
The new Hero Vida V1 electric scooter is available in two variants – Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro.
It gets a standard five-year warranty for 50,000 kms, while the battery is covered by a 3-year warranty or up to 30,000 kms.
Interested customers can book the Vida V1 electric scooter online at the official website and at Vida Experience Centers in Delhi, Jaipur and Bengaluru from October 10, 2022 for an initial amount of Rs 2,499. The Vida V1 electric scooter will be launched in a phased manner, with the product available for retail sale in Delhi, Bengaluru and Jaipur, and later in other cities as well.

Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter: Features
The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter is equipped with a list of features including LED headlamps, 7-inch touchscreen instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, cruise control, 2-way throttle, keyless control and SoS alert.
Other key features include a telescopic fork and a monoshock suspension system. For braking, Hero Vida V1 has front disc brake and rear drum brake. It also gets split seat configuration, retractable pillion seat and 26-litre storage capacity.

Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter: Ride Modes
The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter is available in three ride modes – Eco, Ride and Sports. Apart from this, it gets a custom mode to offer over 100 customizations for range and performance.
Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter: Battery & Range
The Hero Vida V1 Pro will use a 3.94 kWh swappable battery, which offers an IDC range of 165 km and a top speed of 0-40 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. Its top speed is 80 kmph.

The Vida V1 Plus electric scooter is powered by a 3.44 kWh swappable battery, offering an IDC range of 143 km. With a top speed of 80 kmph, it is capable of accelerating from 0-40 kmph in 3.4 seconds. Both the batteries are equipped with fast charging at 1.2 km/min.
The Vida V1 removable battery can be integrated at home to enable charging up to 11 kW. The company says that the battery can be charged from 0-80% in less than 65 minutes. Apart from this, Hero MotoCorp will soon be coming with the Vida charging network.

Hero Vida V1 Plus is offered in three color options – Matte White, Matte Sports Red and Gloss Black, while Vida V1 Pro is available in four color options, namely Matte White, Matte Sports Red, Gloss Black and Matte Abrax Orange.
Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter: Competitors
The new Vida V1 electric scooter will compete with the Ola S1, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather 450X, priced at Rs 1.45 lakh.
