Hotel Powered by Ioniq 5 EVs! Hyundai opens reservations for ‘off-grid luxury hotels’ – Times of India

Hyundai Took the out-of-the-box thinking literally out of town. The company has come up with a new hotel concept, the USP of which will be ‘Off the Grid’. And what is making it possible? Electric vehicles. Hyundai’s new concept is to power convenience using hotels Hyundai Ionic 5 Electric vehicles. Hotel Hyundai Open for 14 nights from 19 October to 5 November.
Hotel Hyundai is now open for bookings, offering guests a unique experience staying at the world’s first car-powered hotel. The new concept was launched by the car brand with the broadcaster and critics alike grace dentMore than half (55%) of people said the cost of living crisis has forced them to rethink their future vacation plans, after a Hyundai research of 2,000 holidaymakers said. Nearly half (44%) would like to migrate more in 2023 than in 2022.
Hotel Hyundai is located in three key areas:
guest suiteColemans Farm: A highly rated luxury cabin, guest suites have lighting and charging points, a kettle, and shower. It’s all done by an IONIQ 5 and its vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology.
bar and restaurant: The menu and mixology have been crafted by Grace Dent, incorporating ingredients locally sourced from within Essex. As well as indoor-outdoor dining and cooking over the fire, the bar and restaurant area will feature an IONIQ 5 coffee lounge, with an espresso machine operated by car.
Cinema: Guests can enjoy a movie from a car-powered projector and speaker, along with a V2L-powered popcorn machine.

“Our award-winning IONIQ 5 is able to power the Hotel Hyundai using its V2L feature, where an adapter from the car provides a socket that can be plugged into home appliances,” Ashley AndrewManaging Director, hyundai motor Britain.
The IONIQ 5 is able to power the hotel using its V2L feature which supplies AC power (230V/50Hz) up to a maximum power consumption of 3.6kW (or 15 Amps). An adapter from the car provides a socket into which standard home appliances can be plugged in.
