How to submit Aadhaar question online and offline?

Aadhaar is a 12 digit unique identification number that serves as an authentication of identity and residence for Indian citizens. The Aadhaar card consists of a unique Aadhaar number, three biometric details (photo, iris and fingerprint) and four demographic details (name, address, gender and date of birth). All these Aadhar details should be updated to use without any hassle. However, if you face any issue related to Aadhaar, such as Aadhaar not generated or against operator and enrollment agencies, you must be familiar with submitting your Aadhaar related query offline and online. For the same, recently UIDAI has said through a tweet that “Don’t worry if you have any #Aadhaar related queries. 1947 (Toll-free) at 7 am to 11 am (Monday to Saturday) And dial on Sundays (8 PM to 5 PM). Helpline number is also available 24X7 and 365 days on IVRS mode.”

Steps to Register Aadhaar Complaint Online

To register your Aadhaar related complaint, you need to follow the steps listed below to complete the task online.

1. Visit uidai.gov.in and go to the ‘Contact & Support’ section.

2. Now under the Grievance Redressal Mechanism option click on ‘Register Grievance’.

3. Now select your complaint type as ‘Operator and Enrollment Agencies (Enrollment ID is optional)’ or ‘Aadhaar not generated (Enrollment ID is mandatory)’.

4. Now go to the ‘Personal Details’ section, and enter your Enrollment ID (EID) and time of enrollment.

5. Now enter your contact details like name, mobile number and email id.

6. Enter your PIN code and select your Village/Town/City.

7. Now select your complaint type and specify the category.

8. Now write about your concern in the given field and the written character limit should be within 150.

9. Enter the captcha code and click on ‘Submit’

10. You will now get a 14 digit complaint ID number, which you can use to track the status of your complaint.

11. To track the status of the complaint you need to click on ‘Check Grievance Status’ under ‘Contact & Support’ section.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has mentioned on its website that “UIDAI has set up a multi-channel grievance management mechanism for queries and complaints of residents related to Aadhaar enrollment, updation and other services. Residents will be able to access through multiple channels.” UIDAI through phone, email, chat and web portal. Residents should keep EID/URN/SRN handy for speedy disposal of complaints.”
