Hyderabad Fire: A massive fire broke out in a warehouse in Telangana’s capital Hyderabad on Thursday morning. According to reports, the fire first broke out inside the godown in Chikkadapally area, which later spread to the adjoining premises where an office was partially gutted.

Besides this, the fire also destroyed the tents and other decorative items supplied for the wedding and other celebrations. Meanwhile, the local police said that no one was injured in the incident. He further said that more than 10 fire engines were rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control.

Suspected of fire due to short circuit: Police

“There was no loss of life and no one was injured in the incident,” a senior police officer told the media. Citing preliminary investigation, the official said that short-circuit is believed to be the cause of the fire. However, the exact reason would be determined after investigation, he said.

Earlier on January 22, at least three cars were gutted after a fire broke out in an electric car parked at the Hyderabad Numaish exhibition. The fire, which started from the electric car, spread to five other vehicles in the parking lot, in which three were gutted and two others were partially damaged, Inspector B Prasad Rao said.

Notably, last year, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh saw around eight incidents of fire involving e-bikes, houses and even e-bike showrooms and a hotel due to exploding e-batteries, killing 10 people. died and many others were injured. Almost all the incidents happened when the e-bikes were kept on charge and it is suspected that overcharging caused the explosions.
