IIM Ahmedabad revises MBA admission criteria. check details

For admission to the 2022-24 batch, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has decided to change its criteria to calculate the Academic Rating (AR) for the Post Graduate Program in Management.

Instead of shortlisting candidates on the basis of bachelor’s degree component, the AR will now be calculated taking into account the marks obtained by the candidates in class 10, class 12 board exams. IIM(A) will also consider their work experience.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 committee had allowed candidates to appear in the exam without requiring a minimum percentage of marks in their degree exam due to the fact that many universities have not been conducting the exam for the last two years due to COVID-19. Could. Students had to be promoted on the basis of alternative criteria

“Due to this, the admission committee of IIM Ahmedabad decided to remove the bachelor’s degree component from the shortlisting criteria and apply it uniformly to all the candidates. The AR will now be calculated on a scale of 25 (taking into account the class 10th marks, class 12th marks and work experience of the candidate) and the marks will be in the ratio of 35,” IIM Ahmedabad said.
