Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is all set to launch full time MBA program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in August 2023. This program is being launched in response to the New Education Policy’s emphasis on building entrepreneurial competencies among students.
This 16-month program offered by IIM Lucknow aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed as innovators and entrepreneurs. According to a news release issued by IIM Lucknow, they are the first IIM to launch a full-time MBA program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Mentorship opportunities with over 500 entrepreneurial alumni of IIM Lucknow will be integrated into the MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program curriculum. Additionally, students will receive guidance on developing business plans and working with venture capitalists to pitch them, secure funding, and prepare them for initial launch.
IIM Lucknow Director Prof. Reflecting on the first-of-its-kind MBA programme, Archana Shukla said in a statement, “IIM Lucknow has developed an entrepreneurial ecosystem with our two successful incubators. The MBA – E & I program leverages and strengthens the ecosystem. This program is unique as we bring in an admission and curriculum philosophy that is based on skill development and aims at unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit.
Students enrolled in this program will have access to the support of two incubators at IIM Lucknow: IIML Enterprise Incubation Center (a section 8 company) and SIDBI Incubator. They will also have the option to undertake internships within the entrepreneurial ecosystem or study abroad at partner institutions.
IIM Lucknow’s new MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program is looking for applicants who have a strong ambition to start their own business with an aim to tackle a pressing issue. Academic knowledge, problem solving ability, critical thinking ability, communication skills and practical approach are desirable qualities in the candidates. The last date to apply for this MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at IIM Lucknow is 30 June.
To be eligible for admission to IIMs through the Common Admission Test (CAT), candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline. The total fee for this program is Rs. 14,30,000.
