IIT-Guwahati was the first in the IIT to bring all the students back to the campus and start offline classes in March 2022.

A statement on Friday said that IIT-Guwahati has resumed its classes completely in physical mode. It said more than 7,400 students are now attending classes in a row, with the batch attending full-semester classes individually for the first time ever.

IIT-Guwahati has all COVID-19 related precautions in place, and is currently hosting a massive vaccine campaign to ensure the safety of its students, the statement said.

“The campus is again filled with vigor and enthusiasm with the presence of students all around and the atmosphere is now full of life. This will facilitate greater intellectual interaction between the community and the people who depend on the IIT-G campus for their livelihood. Director TG Sitaram said, adding that students are now exploring plethora of opportunities which they lacked during online classes.
