In a special forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the Red Fort area may see generally cloudy sky with light rain between 6 am and 12 noon.

The weather forecast said, “Sometimes gusty winds gusting to 20-30 kmph are very likely during the morning hours.”

The minimum temperature on Monday morning was expected to be in the range of 25-27 degrees Celsius, adding that the mercury may touch 36 degrees Celsius during the day.

The Met Office started issuing a three-hour nowcast for the area from Sunday afternoon.

Parts of the national capital received light rain on Sunday, with Palam receiving 10.8 mm of rain between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm, followed by Lodhi Road and Ridge (6.4 mm each), Pusa (4.5 mm) and It rained in Ayanagar (3.1 mm). , said the Met Office.

The maximum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius on Sunday, while the morning temperature was 27.1 degrees Celsius.
