U-20 women’s team head coach Maymol Rocky announced the squad that will travel to Dhaka, Bangladesh for the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship in February.
India U-20 women’s national team head coach Maymol Rocky on Monday, January 30, 2023 announced the 23-member squad that will travel to Dhaka, Bangladesh for the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship next month.
India The U-20s began their training camp in Chennai on 6 January, and have since been preparing for the upcoming SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship and AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers.

He said, ‘It was definitely very difficult to choose 23 players out of 33 that we had in the camp. Those who haven’t made it will be at the camp back in Chennai to train with the senior team. Once we come back, these girls will join us once again. We are ready, we are focused, and we are looking forward to the SAFF Championship,” said Rocky.
“We played a few practice matches against tough sides, and although the results haven’t been in our favour, I can say that we are all set for the SAFF U-20 Championship. Chennai has almost the same weather as Bangladesh , and I believe the girls have adapted themselves very well. I am sure the girls are on their toes and ready to give their best,” she said. “The 23 we have selected , I am sure, we have the best girls in India at the moment.”
The young tigress has also played a few warm-up matches, one of which was against the senior Indian women’s team in Chennai last week.
