India’s 4th largest cement company finalizes record date for dividend

A mid-cap company whose market valuation 23,363 crores is Dalmia Bharat Limited which works in the cement industry. With a 35.9 MTPA capacity and a production base spread across 10 states, the firm is the fourth largest cement player in India. A wide variety of cement is offered by the firm through three recognizable brands: Dalmia Cement, Dalmia DSP, and Konark Cement. By 2030, the company expects to have 130 MTPA of cement production capacity and become a pan-India cement manufacturer.

Dalmia Bharat has declared equity dividend of 250.00% on face value 2, or 5 per share, for the financial year ending March 2022. It offers a dividend yield of 0.40 percent at the current share price. 1240.90. The company has a solid dividend track record and has issued dividends regularly for the past five years to its shareholders, starting in 2019.

The Company has announced a record date of 8th June 2022 for the purpose of dividend. “As per Regulation 42 of SEBI Listing Regulation, you are hereby informed that the record date/cut-off date for the purpose of dividend is Saturday, June 25, 2022,” the company said in a BSE exchange filing.

The stock is down 31.99 percent over the last year, and on a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it’s down 34.06 percent so far in 2022. The stock has fallen 32.81 per cent in the past six months, and has lost another 9.24 per cent in the past one month. The stock has fallen 4.07 per cent in the last five trading days. Today, the share price has hit an intraday low 1216.35, down 3.26 percent, and end of day 1,240.95, down 1.37 percent from its previous close 1258.20. Dalmia Bharat Ltd shares hit 52-week high on NSE 52-week low of 2,548.40 on September 14, 2021 1,212.50 on June 20, 2022. This means that at the current price of the stock 1,240.95, it is trading at a discount of 51.30 per cent from its 52-week high and 2.34 per cent away from its 52-week low. Dalmia Bharat Limited is trading below the 5 Day, 20 Day, 50 Day, 100 Day and 200 Day Moving Averages as per the previous trading price.
