iPad users may finally get WhatsApp support, thanks to the new Multi Device 2.0 feature that lets you use the messaging app on different devices with the same account. According to new report via Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is testing the multi-device feature so that you can use iPad and Android tablet using the same mobile number.
Tablets are coming back into the picture, and iPads have already been a popular choice among buyers. But even after all these years, WhatsApp never launched a native app for Apple tablets. But the new feature can prove to be a boon for iPad users, giving them direct access to WhatsApp.

This feature is currently available in the beta version, so it is also not certain whether WhatsApp will bring it to everyone. WhatsApp is available through the App Store for Android and iOS devices, but it hasn’t been optimized to run on tablets, which is why most people use the web version to access the messaging app.
Since, the report does not specify how the compatibility will be introduced. Will the iPad get a brand new app or will users have to log in through the WhatsApp web platform. We hope that WhatsApp is working on an app for the iPad, just as there are plans to make an app for the macOS version in the near future.
What we never understood is that WhatsApp never brought a native app to iPad users, even if you have millions of people around the world using it. The change in stance, if true, is a good sign, and will certainly excite iPad users who won’t need secondary measures to use the messaging app in the near future.
