However, the truce was short-lived and the couple again began to have regular fights. Fed up with the situation, his brother-in-law and his wife left the house and started living separately. About a year and a half ago, her husband also went to live with his brother.
Meanwhile, her in-laws returned from Surat and started living in her house in Joggers Park. On the night of February 14, when the woman and her son were sleeping, her father-in-law woke her up that there was no water in the tank. When she went to check, he allegedly grabbed her from behind and took her to his room, where he raped her. He then allegedly threatened that his son would be terminated if he told anyone about the sexual assault.
